My stay at Rooms & Suites Picardy Place was a good experience, especially with the stunning Loch Shiel grand master suite. The exquisite bathroom amenities made my stay comfortable, although the central location came with some noise during the night. Overall, the hotel lived up to its impressive online presence and was perfect for exploring Edinburgh.

The Loch Shiel grand master suite was stunning with high ceilings and sophisticated furnishings. The large bathroom featured a luxurious double-ended bath and a rainfall shower. However, there were minor issues such as stains in the bath and a disconnect with the Wi-Fi.

Staff members were friendly and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. Being personally shown to my room was a lovely touch that added to the boutique experience.
Location

The hotel boasts a fantastic central location, just a two-minute walk from tram stops and right across from the Playhouse Theatre. This made my sightseeing incredibly convenient, though the nightlife noise was noticeable at times.

Although I didn't dine at the Steak restaurant this time, the menu looked very appealing. I was impressed with the intimate bar that offered a great selection of cocktails, including a good whiskey sour.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities included a stylish bar and a variety of room options, although there was no room service or breakfast offered. The lack of parking was also a bit inconvenient, costing me £17 per night in the NCP across the street.

My stay at Rooms & Suites Picardy Place was quite a rollercoaster! The stylish decor and great location enriched my experience, especially being just across from The Playhouse. However, I did face some discomfort due to the heat in my room and the lack of high-quality toiletries, which brought the experience down slightly. I'd love to come back, especially since it’s a chic place that offers a lot of potential! 🌟

I had a good two-day stay at Rooms & Suites Picardy Place in Edinburgh. The location was superb, just a short walk from tourist attractions, enhancing my overall experience. However, my room faced a noisy outdoor area, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Still, I appreciated the unique decor and spaciousness of the rooms.
Rooms

My room was stylish and spacious with great views, though it lacked some practical features like good drainage in the wet room and adequate storage. The reduced lighting also made it a bit dingy.
Service

Its location near the Playhouse and within walking distance of the city center was a major perk, although it came with some noise from nearby bars at night.

While there was no breakfast served, I found many nearby cafes and restaurants, including a popular steak restaurant attached to the hotel.

The hotel offered good amenities, although I did find it odd that I had to pay for milk for tea and coffee, which is usually complimentary elsewhere.

My stay at Rooms & Suites Picardy Place in Edinburgh was a mixed bag. The stylish decor and spacious room were impressive, but a series of issues dampened the experience. From awkward check-in to a chilly room without functioning entertainment, I found myself longing for more attention to detail.

The Loch Earn room was unique and spacious with a beautiful shower and cozy bed, though it lacked some basic considerations like adequate heating and a door for privacy.

I had a lovely stay at Rooms & Suites Picardy Place, thanks largely to its fantastic location just a short walk from the station and close to various attractions in Edinburgh. The staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed throughout my stay. However, I did experience some minor inconveniences with the bathroom amenities and a few layout quirks in my room that made my experience less than perfect. Overall, it was a nice visit, particularly given the charm of the hotel.

The Loch Ness room was beautiful with high ceilings and a stunning mural of Eilan Donan castle. However, I found the placement of mirrors and plugs inconvenient for getting ready, and the limited toiletries (only shampoo, no conditioner) was a bit disappointing.

The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, providing a warm welcome and assisting with any questions I had. Their personalized approach definitely added to my enjoyment during my stay.

The hotel offers great amenities, including lots of plug sockets and a mini-fridge in the room. However, some additional items like a bottle opener for the minibar would have enhanced my stay.
